Supervisor - Mill Stores

Domtar Inc., Specialty Papers Division, Espanola Operations is currently seeking a results driven individual to join our team.

**Role**:

- This position directs and supervises all employees and functions of the Mill Stores Department and Purchasing duties for stores inventory.

**Responsibilities**:

- Daily supervisory functions such as; direct, communicate with and train employees, as well as monitor employee performance (Receiving Clerks, General Clerks, Chemical Clerk and Material Handler)
- Ensure schedules are organized, monitored and fulfilled.
- Collaborate with Scheduling to post and adjust employee time/discrepancies - provide coaching when necessary
- Prepare and/or submit reports as required - daily, weekly, monthly, annual
- Ensure adherence on all aspects of health and safety - includes reporting and training - lead weekly safety meetings with Stores team., audit safety behavior, complete area audits and submit work orders as needed.
- Manage Receiving area as per BRCGS and ISO9001 requirements. Participate in annual BRCGS and ISO Quality audits.
- Participate in Financial audits - maintain records for inventory counts and adjustments both stores material and chemicals.
- Ensure that all Company policies and rules as well as Government regulations are followed - knowledge of TDG, Hazardous waste removal requirements.
- Working knowledge of shipping/receiving, BOL creation and record retention.
- Work in conjunction with all Mill Departments in support of Mill operation/runability.
- Negotiate and procure goods and services in an efficient and cost effective manner in support of the Mill.
- Expedite requests/shipments when necessary and track costs.
- Regularly monitor inventory levels (reduce, maintain or replenish) and shipments (delivery time, trace and follow up on undelivered goods). Post adjustments and report to Procurement Manager for approvals. Collaborate with Reliability team before reducing inventory. Monitor and maintain multiple inventory areas (Warehouses, Quonsets Huts, Motor Storage etc)
- Produce monthly corporate KPIs and upload to Corporate Procurement SharePoint (housekeeping, % counted accuracy rates)
- Research and evaluate new and existing suppliers and/or products to achieve the best pricing and track cost savings.
- Create supplier contract pricing and material maintenance management.
- Collaborate with vendors/vendor managed inventories.
- Regularly participate on a rotating on-call schedule.

**Basic Qualifications**:

- 3 to 5 years supervisory experience in industrial buying, warehousing and inventory management.
- Member of PMAC, or working toward designation.
- A diploma/degree in a Business or related field.

**Knowledge - Skills - Abilities**:

- Advanced experience, knowledge and understanding of safe work practices.
- Ability to make sound decisions, and resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
- Strong organizational, time management and planning skills.
- Must have excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills. (Flexibility).
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills and ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with various departments and individuals (internal and external**).**:

- Ability to lead and work with a team as well as work independently.
- Strong working knowledge of computer programs and systems including experience with SAP and CMMS systems.
