Overview:
Perform a wide variety of duties in a moderately directed manner supporting the preparation and service of innovative, fresh, and great tasting food in various outlets while delivering a superior customer experience with personalized, friendly, and knowledgeable service.

**Part time 27.5 hours per week Regular Reoccurring (CUPE) position and works 33 weeks per year normally from September to April.**

**This position is contingent on funding.**

**Responsibilities**:
The duties and responsibilities will vary widely depending on location, shift, task assignment, menu and other factors. Examples include but are not limited to:

- Prepares, assembles and serves food and beverages in accordance with strict guidelines and recipes. Monitor other staff on portion control. Review menu and anticipate product needed. Determine food rotation and unit set up. Monitor and record product waste
- Modifies menu in the event of shortages, or when substitutions are needed
- Sets up merchandise and displays, ensuring that food is visually-appealing and fully stocked. Submits product orders by phone using guidelines. Counts and records inventory. Orders/replenishes/transfers product during the shift
- Responds to immediate customer needs. Meets service standards, uses “making it right” protocol as necessary. Responds to and assists other staff in handling difficult customer concerns
- Processes general payment transactions. Loads cards with funds, processes refunds and voids, and troubleshoots general point of sale issues. Balances daily cash and transactions
- Opens and closes units in accordance with relevant safety and security protocol. Oversees break coverage with casual or support staff
- Coaches, trains and assigns work to others. Provides problem resolution as needed
- Performs general cleaning and sanitizing. Reports equipment issues to Supervisor. Completes or delegates preventative maintenance cleaning. Troubleshoots equipment and delegates work, or reports serious repair issues to Supervisor
- Assists with health & safety inspections, initiating corrective action as needed or reports to Group Leader/Supervisor Monitors others to ensure H&S standards are maintained
- Completes Food Safety certification training
