Deli Associate

Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and customer-oriented Deli Associate to join our team. As a Deli Associate, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving deli items, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. **Duties**:

- Prepare and serve a variety of deli items such as sandwiches, salads, soups, and hot food items
- Take customer orders and ensure accurate and timely service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area, including food preparation surfaces, utensils, and equipment
- Follow all food safety guidelines and ensure proper handling, storage, and labeling of food products
- Assist customers with inquiries, provide recommendations, and address any concerns or complaints
- Monitor inventory levels and restock deli items as needed
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and efficient customer service

**Skills**:

- Previous experience in a restaurant or deli setting is preferred
- Strong knowledge of food handling and preparation techniques
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers
- Basic math skills for inventory management
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices

This position is an afternoon/evening position with approximately 30 to 35 hours. Weekends are a must. There may be some morning shifts to cover vacation, sick days, etc.

**Salary**: From $16.55 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 35 per week
