**What is a Dispatch Supervisor?**:
This key operations position, reporting to the Manager, Transportation and Liquid Products, is responsible for the day to day dispatching of all tanker loads including preparation of schedules and reconciliation of all shipments. This position works closely with drivers, terminal operations staff, internal and external customers, maintenance, and office staff. A key aspect of this role is striking the balance between meeting customer requirements and maintaining an efficient operation with strong cost control.

**As a Dispatch Supervisor, you will**:

- Dispatch of Tanker Fleet in a cost-effective manner, including routes, schedules, and all other aspects of fleet dispatching
- Includes AC and dust suppression equipment
- Assist in the supervision and management of drivers
- Enforce and adhere to Company policies and procedures
- Distribute, collect, and review route sheets, logs, circle checks and driver payroll
- Complete reports as per Company standards
- Analyze the delivery expenses to ensure proper recording and reporting of data
- Develop and implement cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives
- Pricing of haulage loads, maintain price files and negotiate pricing with outside carriers
- Work with shop personnel to schedule equipment maintenance, internally and externally
- Conduct customer follow-up as required
- Data entry on company systems
- Maintain fuel usage and hours of service reports
- Maintain out of province licensing and permits

**What you will bring**:

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (MS Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- AZ licence, an asset
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
- Ability to make decisions in a timely and effective manner
- Available to work flexible hours, and remain on call to support driver needs
- Ability to meet various customer requirements
- Customer-focused and cost-efficient
- Knowledge of MTO regulations (HOS, HTA etc.), asset
- Ability to make decisions on loading, routes and third-party carriers when required
