Waste Connections of Canada is a leading non-hazardous solid waste management in North America is looking for an experienced Operations Supervisor/Route Manager for our collection line of business at the **Edmonton, AB** hauling district. We are looking for a SAFETY inclined, energetic, autonomous, and proactive team player who is capable of making a difference in his/her team and community.

**Position Summary**:
The Operations/Route Supervisor is responsible for managing all the drivers on their assigned line of business. The Operations/Route Supervisor ensures that Collections operations are running safely by performing driver observations and monthly safety meetings. This role is a leadership position of our Collections business unit. The key responsibilities will be to ensure that safety, compliance, customer service, efficiency, productivity targets are met consistently.

**Location: 3410-74 Ave NW, Edmonton, AB**

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Oversee day to day operations of multiple routes.
- Performs operational audits of collections routes and observation routes.
- Ensure that Drivers completing daily safety and maintenance checks on VCR’s
- Coordinates with Dispatcher to ensure deliveries, exchanges and repairs are completed in a timely manner.
- Plans and monitors employee schedules and route scheduling including regular communication throughout the day until all routes are completed.
- Performance Management of employees through the progressive discipline and/or grievance process.
- Conducts accident investigations including scene management, first accident report and final analysis with root cause and preventative measures.
- Maintaining adherence to company safety policies and DOT regulations.

**Qualifications**:

- 3 or more years of managing in a people-driven environment
- Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and MOE guidelines
- Knowledge using Microsoft Office.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Must be detail-oriented, highly accountable and able to prioritize tasks.
- Commercial Driver’s License or the ability to obtain one within 90 days.
