Prime is looking for a motivated, energetic Shipper/Receiver, keen to join a dynamic company in the growing industry of electrical power and distribution systems.

This position is within our IBEW Local 230 bargaining unit.

Primary responsibility is to verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments, manage inventory, and prepare items for shipment by performing the required duties to quality and productivity standards.

**Duties/Responsibilities**
- Operates forklift and pallet jack to move or hoist materials
- Assists with general clean up and organization of shop and outside area including keeping areas swept and wood/pallet management
- Completes the shop inventory by each Friday, re-stocks shelves, assists in keeping material, shelves, and inventory lists current and accurate
- Helps to maintain tool equipment list, engraves tools, etc.
- Provide general shop assistance when duties are slow, including helping where another employee needs someone to hold things, bolt things together, perfecting bin labels, stock lists, etc.
- Performs end-of-day shop check and lock up
- Maintains familiarity with all policies and procedures relating to all tasks and duties assigned; ensures Quality Assurance is promptly notified in the event that related information is discovered to be out of date, missing, or incomplete
- Ensures reorder points of stock are set to adequate levels, potentially ordering parts, tools, or supplies if needed
- Picking/Kitting Bill of Materials
- Creating Purchase Orders and maintaining receiving records in Partsminder

**Shipping**
- Remains aware of, and follows, Prime’s shipping policies
- May be required to assist with shipping arrangements, including coordination with contractors (cranes, and transport companies, couriers) and project managers, when required
- Facilitates the shipping of equipment for calibration
- Prepares materials for shipping including assembling wood blocks, building pallets, pallet wrapping, banding etc., as well as shrink-wrapping/packaging goods for shipping, which may include making crates when required

**Receiving**
- Accepts packages, LTL or TL shipments utilizing forklift as required, while adhering to all necessary safety precautions
- Inspects goods for damage, quality of workmanship, accuracy/completeness of purchase order and adherence to Prime specifications, as applicable
- Plans for imminent deliveries

**Required Skills**:

- Ability to prioritize tasks, as they arise.
- Strong organizational skills; able to physically organize materials (shop shuffle), adhere to existing organization tools/procedures and help to develop new ones
- Effective time management skills with the ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects concurrently under strict deadlines
- Able to adapt to changing work demands without compromising accuracy and quality of work

**Qualifications**:

- High school or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Forklift license
- Proficient in the use of a computer including Microsoft Outlook and Excel

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
