Immediate Position Opening: Carpenter, with opportunity for advancement

PJs Cottage Care takes pride in offering high quality custom renovations in southern Georgian Bay area. We have opening for a carpenter to join our team with opportunities available for advancement to a lead carpenter role.

PJs specializes in cottage construction and maintenance, interior and exterior renovations, decks and waterfront construction, among the other property and barging services that it provides.

Position Responsibilities:

- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials according to project requirements
- Install structures such as windows, doors, cabinets, and molding
- Repair or replace damaged framework or other wooden structures
- Complete tasks from framing, to finish carpentry
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure project completion within deadlines
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentice carpenters
- Clean-up and close site at end of day

Experience and Position Requirements:

- Minimum 3years carpentry experience in the construction trade
- Familiarity with electrical work, masonry, tile laying, and siding installation to be considered an asset
- Proficiency in blueprint reading
- Must have own basic carpentry tools
- Must have G class drivers license and reliable transportation
- Boat license to be considered an asset

Pay: $24.00-$32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
