EHN Prairies Inc. a new 60-bed inpatient addictions treatment facility, located about 20 minutes northwest of Regina and will provide adults 18 and older with holistic, wrap-around inpatient addictions treatment for up to 16 weeks.

**Position Summary**:
The cook is responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes according to recipes and quality standards. This position requires knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and equipment, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high levels of cleanliness and food safety.

**Responsibilities/duties include**:

- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring as necessary.
- Cook menu items in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.
- Monitor food temperatures and ensure that all dishes are cooked to the appropriate level of completion.
- Coordinate timing of cooking to ensure that all dishes are prepared and served simultaneously.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times, including proper handling and storage of ingredients, as well as regular cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment.
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying management when supplies need to be replenished.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to maintain a smooth flow of operations during busy periods.
- Follow all instructions and guidelines provided by the head chef or kitchen manager.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
- Attend training sessions and staff meetings as required.
- Other duties as required

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or food service establishment.
- Knowledge of cooking techniques and culinary terminology.
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and consistently.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Certification in food handling and sanitation
