In this position, you will be responsible for guiding and delivering executive and board meetings and governance-related initiatives in support of the NRC’s President, senior executives, Council, and Procurement Oversight Board. You will lead the development of effective working relationships with the members of the NRC Council, Procurement Oversight Board, Senior Executive Committee and their offices. Through a proactive and professional delivery of services, your team will earn the confidence and trust required to advise and represent clients in matters related to NRC governance. In addition, you will develop and advise on best practices in governance as well as lead your team to execute special projects and the analysis of complex operational scenarios. In addition, you will provide corporate leadership in the development and implementation of effective governance and decision-making structures and processes

**Education**:
Post-secondary education in administration, science, engineering, law, commerce, or other disciplines related to the position.
Graduate-level studies in a field relevant to the position would be considered an asset.

**Experience**:
- Recent significant experience managing the governance framework and processes for an organization, including delivering comprehensive secretariat services to boards of directors and/or senior executive level committees, orienting and supporting board/committee members, and facilitating communication between external board/committee members and management.
- Significant experience in providing effective briefings and independent advice on complex issues to senior executives, playing a challenge function where required and influencing decision-making.
- Recent experience in strategic and operational planning, budget management, and execution.
- Experience leading a diverse team of senior professionals, and providing administrative oversight to their associated functions.
- Experience in navigating through direction from clients that can be ambiguous or incomplete to achieve the desired results.
- Experience serving a number of internal and external clients and interacting with multiple stakeholders from government and other sectors.
