We are looking to add a highly skilled Millworker/Joiner to join our millwork shop team in Vancouver. As part of a fun, supportive team, your days will be varied and challenging as you demonstrate the highest standard of craftsmanship for the projects you’re assigned to. This is far from assembly line work We draw, build, finish and install all of our own work. Every project is unique, and we absolutely LOVE what we do This is a full-time position located in Vancouver.

**A day leading the millwork shop**:

- Easily and quickly interpret shop drawing packages, and material and hardware specifications.
- Create cut lists and material break out plans for yourself and the team.
- Mill solid wood from rough boards and use traditional Joinery skills for assembly of furniture and architectural millwork.
- Efficiently cut sheet goods to produce cabinets with minimum waste.
- Draw on experience or specification information to proficiently detail and install all types of cabinet hardware.
- Maintain and document maintenance for all shop machinery to the highest standards.
- Lead a team from the handover of a job, through the manufacturing process, until it’s on time completion.
- Be responsible for quality control, shop scheduling, staying within job budgets, shipping and receiving.

**Your qualifications**:

- Minimum 5 years of experience in a high-end millwork shop.
- Red Seal Ticketed journeyperson or equivalent.
- Highly skilled in cabinet and furniture making, and architectural millwork.
- Ability to perform basic regular maintenance of woodworking machines.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings with ease.
- A dedication to details and the highest standard of work.
- Self-motivated and goal driven.
- Ability to handle heavy materials.
- Have a valid BC driver’s license with no limitations.

**Salary**: $38.00-$42.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
