The Child Support Recalculation Program, under the Family Support Order Services (FSOS) branch, helps parents with child support orders keep their support amounts current. The Recalculation Program (RP) increases Albertans' access to justice by annually adjusting child support payments based on changes in the parents’ incomes, rather than requiring them to return to court for a new order.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with strong analytical, interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills to provide recalculation services to clients. This position requires superior attention to detail and accuracy. You must have excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills to be able to meet tight timelines in a fast-paced environment. You will need to demonstrate agility and solid problem-solving skills while exercising a high level of independent decision-making.
- Provide information to stakeholders on the telephone and in writing.
- Focus on customer service and assisting Albertans with access to justice.
- Process registration requests, analyzing court orders to determine clients’ eligibility for our services.
- Perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Review income tax information and determine new child support amounts.
- Analyze file circumstances to make recommendations that RP decline to recalculate where appropriate.
- Accurately enter information into RP's computer system to record file steps and decisions.

**Qualifications**:
High School diploma (or post-secondary education) plus a minimum of three years progressive related experience is required.

**Equivalencies may be considered**:
Directly related education or experience will be considered on the basis of 1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or 1 year of experience for 1 year of education.

**Required**

- Proficiency with MS Office(Outlook, Word, Excel) is required.

**Assets**
- Experience working in a court/legal environment
- Experience working with income tax returns
- Experience providing program support and providing program information to clients

**Salary**:
$1,884.99 - $2,307.87 bi-weekly
($49,198 to $60,235 /yearly).

**Notes**:
Hours of work: Monday - Friday, 8:15 am -4:30 pm (36.25/week)

Applicants being considered for the position will be required to complete a written assignment in Edmonton in-person as part of this competition. The examination will test reading comprehension, writing, problem-solving and basic math skills. You must attain a required mark to be offered a chance to interview.
