Masonry Apprenticeship

Edgewater Stonemasons has an opportunity for a creative, hands-on individual to assist our masons on new build and restoration projects.

**What we do**:

- New builds-_ We do the stonework on custom new builds. This can include exterior stone on the building, fireplaces, and sometimes landscaping.
- Heritage-_ We do repair work on the brick and stone of historic buildings.

The ideal person is detail-oriented, likes physical, outdoor work, and takes pride in the work they do. We are a small company and offer competitive wages, a benefits plan, room for growth, and a tight-knit group of co-workers.

Typical duties and responsibilities:

- Mixing mortar
- Deliver mortar and other materials to masons
- Cut brick and stone using power tools, cutting equipment and hand tools.
- Layout and build scaffold or other access systems
- Clean and organize equipment, tools, work sites and storage areas
- Move or position materials using cranes, hoists or dollies
- Monitor material inventories

Occupational Requirements
- **Performing General Physical Activities** - Our work is physical, and requires considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
- **Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates** - Maintaining good communication between supervisors, and co-workers, by telephone, text or in person.

Experience
- **Related Work Experience** - 1-2 years
- **Required Level of Education** - High School

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Apprenticeship

**Salary**: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
