- The duties and responsibilities of a Vocational Instructor include continuing excellence in one’s field, instructional and professional duties, professional development and service.**Functions and Duties**
- Instructional duties may include any or all of the following: instructional (teaching assignments); course and program preparation and revision; practicum placement; student contact; student advising; evaluation and marking of student work and other functions related to instruction.- Professional duties may include any or all of the following: curriculum development, student registration and pre registration duties.-
- Service may include any or all of the following: school visitations; participation on OC committees; attendance at articulation meetings; representing OC at other function; administrative and other duties**Education and Experience**
- 1. A Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field. A Master’s Degree is preferred.
- 2. A current License to practice as an Early Childhood Educator
- 3. An Instructor’s Diploma or valid BC Teacher’s Certificate appropriate to the instructional assignment is preferred, and will be required following appointment in accordance with the Collective Agreement.1. Five or more years experience working with young children.
- 4. Experience in curriculum development preferred.
- 5. Established strong community partnerships will be considered an asset

**Annual Salary/Hourly Rate**
- Salary range $69,753 to $111,776 annually; normal starting salary between $76,574 and $83,395 annually, dependent on relevant education and experience.**Appointment Type**
