**Job Purpose**

Monitors and advises on the performance of the quality management system, produce date and report on performance, measuring against set standards

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Development, implementation, maintenance and enforcement of the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP)
- Set standards and monitor procedures to ensure food safety at all stages of the operation including receiving, packaging and shipping
- Ensure compliance with customer requirements, quality policy, company standards, regulatory and external standards
- Assist in the development, maintenance and enforcement of all Quality/food safety programs
- Manages and maintains the Company’s quality inspection and product release programs for incoming and in-process materials, components, processes and finished goods
- Oversee all production lines from a quality point of view
- Supervise and instruct all Quality Inspectors and sanitation team members
- Review all documentation for accuracy
- Train of all new employees and refreshers for existing staff in all areas of the quality program
- Lab analysis for sanitation and allergen control
- Develop policies and procedures to ensure quality product
- Maintains operations data and prepares productivity/quality reports for management
- Communicates with other managers to coordinate operations and activities
- Manage deviation and corrective actions for HACCP Program
- Ensure the sites are certified as per the frequency for BRC and AIB
- Handle customer complaints and send the completed actions to the customers
- Ensure the pest control program is in place as per regulatory requirements

**Required Skills/Experience**
- Training: on all Quality SOP’s, HACCP, GMP, Allergens, Food Security, Warehouse sanitation, Audit training, WHMIS
- College Diploma in Quality Control Required
- Advance level computer skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the food processing industry
- HACCP, GMP and food experience required
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Use logic and reasoning to identify solutions to problems
- Must be able to write and communicate in English
- Food safety experience
- Research capabilities, develop and use of documents
- Oral communication, problem solving
- Calculations and data analysis

**Physical Requirements**
- Works in a well ventilated production and office area
- 80% of day is spent standing, walking and 20% sitting
- Required to lift no more than 20 lbs
- Constant interaction with all levels of employees in all departments

**Salary**: $70,000.00-$75,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Brampton, ON L6T 5V8: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

**Experience**:

- quality assurance: 5 years (required)
