**Bookkeeper**

Yumi Organics is looking for a part time bookkeeper familiar with Quickbooks software for regular weekly work.

We are looking for a very well organized, quick, and detail oriented individual with a bookkeeping or accounting background to keep us on track Currently we will request 2-3 days a week working out of our offices on 3700 Rue Saint Patrick, Montreal.

**About Yumi**:
Our vision is to become the brand name known for Overnight Oats and to build out this subcategory of cereal as the number one leading brand. We are currently sold in over 3000+ retail stores across Canada, including Walmart, Loblaws, Metro, Save on Foods and Sobeys. Our products are also sold on Amazon and our own E-commerce platforms. Our territories to focus on this year is the US and Australian Markets.

We are a Montreal-based Overnight Oats company founded by a certified nutritionist, whose goal is to make healthy eating easy, fun and delicious, starting with the most important meal of the day: breakfast ;) We are the first in Canada to launch a line of Overnight Oats to retail, and we are very excited to be the first to launch a line of Probiotic Trail Mixes & Super Seeds in Canada as well

**Job description**

Your main responsibilities will be to:

- Perform bank reconciliation and reconciliation of credit card accounts
- Prepare quarterly GST/QST reports
- File GST/QST reports on Revenue Quebec
- Carry out the full cycle of accounts payable and receivable on a weekly basis
- Be able to catch discrepancies on regular invoices, flag, and follow through with vendor/buyer to rectify
- Make accounting entries and keep fixed asset registers up to date
- Register and making entries in the general ledger
- Process expense accounts and travel expenses
- Upkeep of employee petty cash receipts and monthly reimbursements
- Assess cash and profitability on smaller scale projects, such as trade show sales events
- Perform various office tasks related to accounting administration
- Streamline accounting structure and system to find efficiencies
- Support on cost accounting projects

Bookkeeper/ Accountant Qualification and Skills:

- Experienced with Quickbooks Accounting Software (cloud)
- Very organized and structured
- Detail oriented
- Quick and accurate with data entry and use of softwares
- Proactive and punctual
- Able to build and create systems and structures
- Tech saavy
- Ability to work multiple projects while adhering to tight deadlines
- Ability to think critically and catch discrepancies that don't make sense
- Fluent English speaker and communication skills, French speaking is a plus
- Very strong understanding of math and numbers
- Strong familiarity with accounting principles and guidelines
- Highschool diploma or equivalent
- Accounting background preferred
- 3 years experience in book keeping required
