**Description**:

- Under the authority of the Coordinator-Corporate Training, Community Services and RAC, the Pedagogical Counsellor collaborates in the development of non-credited courses for adults’ learners and the Recognition of Acquired Competencies (RAC) in Continuing Education.
- The Pedagogical Counsellor advises, leads, provides information, develops, supports, evaluates and provides feedback to teaching staff, management responsible for teaching services, and other stakeholders at the College. The incumbent will be responsible for pedagogy, particularly in new or existing programs or in courses and ensuring quality learning and teaching strategies, appropriate nature and methods of evaluation, as well as reporting, research and innovation.
- More specifically, but not limited to the following, the Pedagogical Counsellor
- Development works in these areas:

- Corporate training and Community services non-credit sector:
- Responsible for identifying and analyzing the needs of individuals, organizations and businesses in terms of workforce development and industry upskilling needs;
- Responsible for the conceptualization, planning and organization of training, activities, projects and new courses/programs;
- Recommends and develops new programs or courses to expand our service offering;
- Develops innovative strategies to solicit prospective learners or organizations;
- Responsible to elaborate a development plan and timeline;
- Promotes all the services offered to a variety of clienteles, including individuals and employers;
- Participates in the preparation and implementation of promotion, information sessions and recruitment activities;
- Collaborates on each step of the process from registration to the evaluation;
- Offers counselling, training and professional development sessions in areas of expertise, and undertakes the related evaluation and follow-up;
- Is involved in the production and development of educational materials including online course.

RAC:
- Develops tools and procedures in order to provide services in RAC;
- Promotes the RAC services offered to a variety of clienteles, including individuals and employers, who may require this service;
- Maintains current information on research, changes and innovations related to the field of RAC and monitor current trends in RAC;
- Provides pedagogical support and guidance to staff and content specialists in the RAC services and feedback on materials and services developed;
- Is responsible for welcoming, informing and referring students wishing to be recognized for RAC and coordinates the process with the evaluators;

Administration:
- Achieves or contributes to the achievement of financial targets;
- Provides information for preparation and financial control of Continuing Education budgets;
- Assists in the review of administrative procedures and in the implementation of a new project;
- Collaborates with the CE Academics Coordinator and team of pedagogical counsellors;
- Liaises with the Faculty Deans, Departmental Coordinators, Registrar, Human Resources, Communications, Services for Students and other departments for matters concerning curricula, complaints, hiring and equipment needs, planning and development of promotional material;
- Provides information and works in collaboration with the technician and support staff;
- In consultation with the Director and Coordinator, provides appropriate liaison with both internal and external committees and attends meetings as required.

Other related tasks which fall within the scope of the classification of this position may be assigned.
