Position Overview:
Reporting directly to the Service Supervisor, the position of Apprentice Heavy Equipment Technician is responsible for a variety of Caterpillar equipment repair functions within a service-oriented environment.

**Job Description**:

- Assist Heavy Equipment Technicians with troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining all heavy duty equipment and/or related equipment in a timely fashion.
- Customer Focus: Being successful means continuously paying attention to customer needs and adapting as these evolve. This heightens the importance of building strong customer relationships and delivering customer centric solutions.
- Creating a culture where organizational performance is always top of mind. Communicating a vision, setting priorities, developing and executing plans that achieve the desired outcome for Finning.

Qualifications:

- Ability to multitask, detail oriented, positive attitude, and team player.
- The ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
- Dedication to safety.
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal.
- Self-starter with ability to work under mínimal supervision and contribute positively to safe work environment.
- An understanding of the Caterpillar product line will be considered an asset.

Education & Experience:

- Willing to work towards a Heavy Equipment Technician Certification (Red Seal).
- Completion of grade 12
- Computer literacy is required with an understanding of Finning systems and software programs considered assets.
- Mechanical aptitude with a basic understanding of heavy equipment parts and repairs.
- Previous equipment repair and maintenance experience would be considered an asset.
