**DEPARTMENT**:Community Services

**REPORTS TO**:Director of Parks & Recreation.

**Responsibilities/Duties**:

- Watering plants and planters.
- Spring and Fall garden clean up.
- Planting flowers and garden areas.
- Garden and flower bed maintenance.
- Tree maintenance.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Knowledge/Skills Required**:

- Must be able to perform manual work.
- Able to implement safe work practices.
- Able to operate light and medium equipment.
- Able to work independently.
- Any Horticultural experience / interest is an asset.
- Valid Driver's license (G or G2).
- The successful applicant must submit a current driver's abstract and current Criminal Records Police Check satisfactory to the County prior to start date.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to work afternoon and weekend shifts on a rotating basis.
- Standard First Aid/CPR C/AED training.

**Duration**:April
- September

**Pay per hour: $**17.41 (under 18) / $18.33 (over 18)

**Hours per week**: 40

**Location**:To be determined

**You must be enrolled in a post-secondary Institution and returning to school in the fall in order to qualify for these positions.**
