SOUTHLAND is currently seeking a part-time Driver Trainer to join our team. This highly rewarding and engaging opportunity is tailor-made for an experienced and seasoned professional driver.

You will deliver our training program for new employees and refresher courses for existing employees, ensuring that operational benchmarks, best practices and safety standards are achieved.

**Principal Duties and Responsibilities**:

- File and prepare information packages for new trainees
- Provide class B school bus training to applicants
- Incident investigations, file management, and reporting
- Perform daily classroom sessions for new trainees
- Company road tests
- Bi-annual road tests
- Hours of Service
- Manage and submit training and trainer reports
- Familiarize prospective employees with company policies
- Maintain precise and up-to-date paperwork and time keeping

**Knowledge and Skills Required**:

- Class B driver’s license
- Previous driver training experience
- Previous experience in a school bus operation
- Excellent driving skills and habits; clean driver’s abstract
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Public speaking and presentation skills
- Post-secondary education and/or training in leadership or management considered an asset
- Knowledge of (or willingness to learn) busing-related safety legislation

**Job Types**: Permanent, Part-time

**Salary**: $21.53 per hour
