The Sooke Community Association is seeking an enthusiastic **Campground Manager** to oversee the daily operations of **The Sooke River Campground (The Flats)**. Nestled along the shores of De Mamiel Creek and the Sooke River, the campground offers a family-oriented, scenic setting just minutes from downtown Sooke and a 45-minute drive from Victoria. This is a unique opportunity for someone passionate about outdoor recreation and community, with the added perk of a **modular home provided on-site**.

**About the Sooke River Campground**: The Flats is a private campground, offering a variety of camping options including powered RV sites, tent campsites, and three rustic cabins. Located near local attractions such as the Sooke Region Museum, Visitor Centre, and SEAPARC Leisure Complex, the campground is a peaceful retreat for families and outdoor enthusiasts.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Daily Operations**: Ensure the campground is maintained to high standards by overseeing the cleaning of facilities, campsites, washrooms, and common areas.
- **Visitor Engagement**: Serve as the primary point of contact for guests, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience. Provide information and manage activities within the campground.
- **Facility Maintenance**: Monitor and maintain the campground, ensuring the grounds are in top condition.
- **Safety and Compliance**: Uphold campground regulations and safety protocols, addressing any emergencies as needed.
- **Staff and Project Oversight**: Recruit, train, and supervise seasonal staff, volunteers, and contractors for special projects or maintenance tasks.

**Qualifications**:

- Experience in outdoor facility or campground management
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- knowledge of the Campspot booking system is an assest however not required
- Familiarity with basic maintenance tools and equipment
- Ability to manage staff and oversee special projects
- Knowledge of safety regulations and emergency response protocols

Pay: $45,000.00-$48,000.00 per year
