**The Role**:
We are currently searching for a **Supervisor, Operations (Transportation)** reporting to the **Manager, DC Operations**. This is a** Full-Time, Contract** opportunity for 12-months.

**Location**:
On-site at the Bolton Distribution Centre

**What You'll Be Doing**:

- Coordinate and supervise the shift activities within a busy unionized DC environment
- Monitor all transport crews to ensure all deliveries are made in a timely fashion in full
- Providing a primary point of contact to internal and external customers
- Managing ad hoc requests, their viability, and follow up communication
- Training of new and existing employees and performance management
- Addressing all deliver related issues with staff and customers in an expedient manner
- Ensure that customer service targets and goals are successfully met
- Conduct workplace investigations and subsequent follow up
- Review work group performance and implement corrective action when necessary
- Ensure the company’s Health and Safety, Operational and Budgetary efficiencies are met
- Exemplify the Company’s dedication to customer service
- Other responsibilities involve Inventory, Fleet and Warehouse Management, Quality Control, SOX and Audit compliance
- Other related duties as assigned

**Who You Are - Your Knowledge, Skills & Experience**:
**Education**:

- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Post-secondary education is considered an asset

**Experience**:

- A minimum of 3 - 5 years of operations experience
- Previous experience with SAP is considered an asset
- Previous experience working in a unionized environment would be a strong asset
- This role requires that you hold a valid "G" class licence

**Skills**:

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with employees across all levels of the organization.
- Proven leadership ability to effectively manage the team of direct reports
- Demonstrates positive interpersonal skills with peers, leaders, internal and external customers.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- The ability to make sound decisions in a timely fashion
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety, Ministry of Transportation and WSIB regulations would be an asset
