At Little Schoolhouse Garden Design & Landscaping, we have a deep understanding of horticulture, ecology, and design. Our expertise lies in designing, constructing, and maintaining outdoor areas for residential clients. Our main objective is to create visually appealing and functional outdoor environments that perfectly match our clients' preferences and needs.

**Your Responsibilities**:

- Garden plant identification
- Weeding & cultivating flower beds
- Edging flower beds
- Pruning, deadheading, staking and dividing plants
- Safely operating a leaf blower
- Safely operating use of all hand tools
- Planting perennials and shrubs in new landscapes
- Watering & fertilizing gardens
- Planting flower bulbs
- Spreading topsoil and mulch
- Daily report writing

- Possess a passion for gardening, physical work and working outdoors with nature.
- BE AN AWESOME PERSON
- Be physically fit and energetic with great work ethic. Able to lift, bend and carry effectively.
- Able to walk for long periods. Able to be active all day.
- Possess superior attention to detail skills.
- Be willing to listen, learn, follow direction and accept constructive criticism from crew leader.
- Be willing and able to work outside in all weather conditions.
- Enjoy working as part of an efficient, professional and collaborative team.
- Possess outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to connect positively with other crew members.

**Job Type**
- Seasonal work, early April to mid-November
- Student positions available (May - August)
- Full time. No weekends.
- Overtime pay when required
- There is potential to be rehired for the position in future years.

**Healthy and safe workplace**
- All other safety equipment supplied.
- Uniforms provided at no cost.

**Required Education, Skills and Qualifications**
- High School Diploma
- Clean G or G2 drivers license preferred but not essential.
- Previous experience working with plants, farm work or outdoors in any physical job an asset but not essential. We are happy to train a willing and keen person.

**Salary**: $18.00-$25.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
- Overtime

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay
