**Objective**:
The Batcher / Plant Operator is responsible for producing concrete safely and efficiently and support multiple Innocon plants across the GTA,

Under the direction of the Plant Manager, the Plant Operator/Swing Batcher will be required to assist in ensuring the organized and efficient operation of plant & yard.

The Plant Operator will work closely with the plant team to provide exceptional customer service. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, ensuring a safe work environment, meeting quality requirements and fulfilling production schedules.

**Responsibilities**
- Health, Safety and Environment_**: Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to safety policies in all work environments/areas and with employees, contractors and site visitors while ensuring the site meets or exceeds all Innocon and Regulatory guidelines.
- Concrete Production:_The Batcher / Plant operator is responsible for fulfilling customer ready mixed concrete orders. Automated batching & shipping of concrete constitutes the bulk of the daily responsibility.
- Operations:_Under the direction of the Production Manager, the Batcher/ Plant Operator must operate the plant in accordance with Health and Safety policies. Ensure plant operation in accordance with established company guidelines, programs and procedures.
- Quality Assurance:_The Batcher / Plant operator is required to batch concrete as ordered and specified by the customer. Periodically, some assistance in testing of concrete may be required.
- Materials Management:_Ordering of all raw materials for the production of concrete.
- Management:_ As a member of the Operations Management team the Batcher / Plant Operator may, from time to time, be required to supervise and direct employees in all aspects of operating the yards.
- Maintenance: _Working in parallel with the Maintenance Department, the Batcher / Plant Operator is to notify maintenance of plant breakdowns and communicate any suspected pending problems. The Batcher / Plant Operator is expected to carry out pre-start checks as provided in the plant opening procedure
- Reporting:_Ensure that all reporting is completed according to required deadlines.
- Others:_
- Ensure FLRAs (Field level Risk Assessments) are carried out for tasks as required in the yard
- Entry of Plant down notification on the QIR platform on SiteDocs
- Other tasks as assigned by the Production Manager

**Qualification Profile**
- Education & Work Experience:_
- A technical background, including concrete technology (C.E.T. designation) and any industry experience are assets.
- Knowledge & Skills:_
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with all levels of internal organizations
- Strong knowledge of how tackle tasks through formal and informal channels
- Intimate demonstrated knowledge of our products, and the seasonality of the construction materials business
- Must be flexible and balance shifting priorities to meet deadlines
- Results oriented and goal driven to reach objectives
- Excellent customer service skills - dedicated to meeting the expectations of internal customers
- Must have strong people skills and relate well to all kinds of people inside and outside organization

**Salary**: $25.00-$26.00 per hour
