We are seeking **2 **mindful, passionate, and collaborative **Community Program Workers **to join our Team for the summer. In this role, you will have opportunity to share your unique strengths, knowledge, skills and grow in areas like, collaboration, communication, and work on creative and innovative projects and programs. In your time with us we will provide job specific training, support, skill development, and overall career development.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Support development of the 2024 Neighbourhood Family nights and special events to build resilience and a sense of belonging
- Engage children, youth, and families to nurture anti-oppressive, and culturally safe programing
- Work with staff, volunteers, families, and community partners to empower individual voices and skills
- Plan and implement engaging activities to foster a holistic approach to health and wellness
- Co-creating/program planning, implementing and assisting with administrative reporting for the CSJ 2024 Project and Neighbourhood Fun Nights 2024 including social media, marketing and tracking systems.
- Support the project planning, implementation and evaluation of activities and assist with writing reports
- Assist with Alex House’s Intergenerational Community (Organic) Gardens, co-creating with children, early childhood educators and senior’s gardeners, and supporting the summer Food Bank Donation

**Qualifications**:

- Demonstrated experience working with children and youth and knowledge of implementing programs

and community events
- Clear criminal record check
- Standard First Aid/CPR certificate or willingness to obtain
- Fluency in a second language an asset

Pay: $19.00-$20.11 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- social services: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (preferred)

Work Location: In person
