**Looking for a summer job that could turn into a career? ROHI Engineering is looking for a surveyor for the summer with the possibility of the position being extended indefinitely.**

ROHI Engineering is a small, family oriented Civil Engineering and Environmental Firm located in Ponoka, AB. On the engineering side we provide all the necessary services to take and manage a transportation or municipal project from design conceptualization all the way through to construction completion. Our environmental team provides a wide range of services including the preparation and submittal of regulatory permits, wildlife scouting, site reclamation, and construction assistance.

**What you’ll be doing**:
Under the project managers supervision, you will complete field surveys including topographic, design, volumetric, preliminary planning, control, and construction surveys. Responsibilities include accurately recording measurements and other data, preparing field notes and quality control for survey work. Training will be provided as necessary.

**Qualifications**:

- High school graduate;
- Valid class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract;
- Enjoy working outdoors;
- Willing to work overtime and weekends when required;
- Willing to travel;
- Have problem solving skills in a field environment;
- Have basic math skills; and
- Having knowledge of how to run a GPS is an asset but not required.

**Compensation**:

- Wage $22-$30/hr depending on experience
- Paid Overtime
- Subsistence for certain job locations

**Job Types**: Fixed term contract, Seasonal
Contract length: 5 months

Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Ponoka, AB T4J 1N6: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
