**O'Connor's Meat Market is seeking a motivated, hard-working individual to join our growing team as a Retail Butcher. We provide people with adaptive training that allows them to earn responsibility, succeed & grow.**

**Responsibilities**
- Clean meats to prepare for processing or cutting.
- Cut carcasses, sides and quarters.
- Cut, trim and prepare standard cuts of meat.
- Wrap and package prepared meats.
- Remove bones from meat.
- Weigh meats for sale.
- Cut poultry into parts.
- Price meat products.
- Sell meats to customers.
- Supervise other butchers, meat cutters and fishmongers.
- Grind meats.
- Train meat cutters.
- Make special sausages.
- Slice cooked meats.
- Prepare special orders.
- Prepare special displays of meats, poultry and fish products.
- Shape, lace and tie roasts, other meats, poultry and seafood.

**Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities**
- Experience in Greek meat cuts

- Extensive knowledge of supported department(s) products.

**Desired Work Experiences**
- 18+ months retail experience (Industry Related).
- Equipment & Machinery Experience (Band saw, power grinder, sausage machine, slicing machine, manual cutting utensils)

**Physical Requirements / Working Conditions**
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- In an 8-hour work day: standing/walking 6-8 hours.
- Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling.
- Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching.
- Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals.
- Exposure to temperatures:
90 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Ability to work in a wet and cold environment.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Ability to use tools and equipment, including box cutters, knives, electric pallet jacks, six-wheel carts, balers, and other heavy machinery.

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 44 per week
