**Education/Certifications/Credentials/Professional Registration**
- Degree or Diploma in Management or related field
- Standard First Aid, CPR-Level C, and WHMIS Certification
- Evidence of a clear Police Record Search (with Vulnerable Sector Check only if working with children), within the last six months
- Must have class 07 automobile insurance coverage business use (or pleasure with occasional business use) and a minimum of $2,000,000 in liability coverage

- Proficient computer skills, MS Office suite an asset
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Ability to act professionally in all situations, representing the YMCA according to its core values

- Knowledge and skills to provide non-judgmental, excellent customer service to individuals experiencing homeless, mental health and/or addiction issues

**What does this role look like at YMCA Medicine Hat?**

The Y Treasure Thrift Store Manager will provide leadership to the Thrift Store team located in downtown Medicine Hat. This key role embraces a customer service and growth strategy to ensure the store meets its financial and social impact targets. This position will build relationships within the community while actively promoting donations and memberships.

**Customer Service**:

- Ability to provide exceptional customer service to individuals from all socioeconomic backgrounds, including individuals experiencing homelessness, mental health and/or addiction issues
- Strong commitment to building a workplace culture based on exceptional customer service and engagement, meeting or exceeding customers’ and donors’ expectations in all areas
- Model positive interactions with customers and donors throughout the store; never walking by a customer without greeting them
- Use a customer-focused approach to increase the understanding of programs offered across the Association.
- Donor stewardship
- Maintain a high profile and visible presence in the store to support staff/volunteers in providing an exception customer service experience
- Maintain high service standards and satisfaction ratings that are reflected in the achievement of positive feedback surveys and annual customer growth and retention targets
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with, and increased involvement, customer and community partners.
- Represents the YMCA in a professional manner in internal and external forums, as directed by the GM of Operations.

- Following YMCA procedures, work with the GM and Marketing and Communication department to ensure the thrift store’s marketing needs are met (e.g., website updates, social media, print advertising, etc.)
