Position Title**:Associate Insurance Advisor**

Reports To**:Financial Advisor / Owner**

**The Opportunity**:

- Battle River Insurance Ltd representing Co-operators in Ponoka, is looking for an Associate Insurance Advisor, with future potential for fulfilling an Office Manager role.
- The Associate Insurance Advisor is a key player in the support and development of the Agency operation primarily through the service and sales of Co-operators auto insurance, home insurance, and travel insurance, and may provide support for additional product lines. Our Associate Insurance Advisors are insurance professionals who provide the highest level of service available anywhere in the industry.
- The Office Manager is a key player in the leadership of the office and will have roles and responsibilities in many facets of the day-to-day Agency operation. The role is ideal for someone who has energy and passion for helping others excel in their roles. Superb reporting and organization skills are important, while not compromising service excellence, both internally and externally.

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- A General Insurance License is preferred
- Meet all provincial-licensing requirements in accordance with continuing education to obtain and maintain all licenses
- Two years of sales and service experience or related business experience is preferred
- Supervisory or coaching experience is preferred
- Skilled in communication (verbal and written), organization skills, client service, questioning and listening, time management, problem solving skills, interpersonal skills
- Must be comfortable in a technology dependent environment including proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Valid drivers license may be required

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Support development of the Agency through the sales and profitable growth of auto and home insurance products. Future possibilities include specializing in farm insurance, commercial insurance, financial planning, and estate planning.
- Support growth of the Agency by identifying referral opportunities in life insurance, group insurance, and our wealth management portfolio
- Proactively complete client reviews focusing on auto and home products
- Prospect and cross sell all lines of business, referring opportunities to our in-house product specialists
- Complete front line risk assessment and selection, following underwriting guidelines
- Achieve individual goals for client service, sales, productivity, and contribute to the achievement of Agency sales and growth goals
- Respond to and investigate client questions and concerns, resolve client complaints, and escalate issues appropriately
- Support the Agency team in their daily activities

**Salary**: $36,000.00-$60,000.00 per year

**Experience**:

- Customer service: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Level 1 General Insurance License (preferred)
