**Emergency Measures Organization EMO Coordinator**

The Long Plain First Nation is seeking an EMO Coordinator. The position is to coordinate and educate Long Plain entities in community emergency events. The duties include preparing plans and procedures for responding to natural disasters and other emergencies. The person will also help lead the response, during and after emergencies in coordination with Long Plain entities, Chief and Council, surrounding communities, applicable federal and provincial government agencies. Also, to establish a Long Plain EMO team consisting of staff and community members.

The EMO Coordinator will also assist in organizing community events with other Long Plain entities, as applicable. Must take EMO training and participate in EMO workshops, conferences to keep skills updated and share their gained knowledge with the Long Plain EMO team and community members.

The EMO Coordinator position is a term position until March 31, 2023 and reports to the Tribal Administrator.

**Education, Abilities & Skills**:
The EMO Coordinator will possess at a minimum Grade 12 education with two (2) years of supervisory experience and/or a combination of education and experience.
