**Chief Financial Officer**

**THE POSITION**

The Chief Financial Officer has strong analytical, strategic planning and communication skills, and exhibits a high level of accountability and possesses unwavering initiative to propel the company forward.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Lead & Manage**
- Understands the key role of finance in driving future growth.
- Leads banking relationships and management of growth capital.
- Directs and oversees all aspects of the Finance and Accounting department.
- Leads and mentors the finance team members.
- Shares the company’s results and performance in a clear, concise, and meaningful manner.
- Oversees HR and payroll activities.

**Internal controls and governance**
- Takes a hands-on lead position of developing, implementing, enhancing, and maintaining a comprehensive reporting system.
- Manages processes for financial forecasting, analysis, budgets, consolidation, and reporting.
- Oversees preparation of financial statements and ensure they are in accordance with ASPE.
- Oversees the annual audit process and review corporate tax returns.
- Manages and comply with local, provincial/state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings (Canada and the U.S.).
- Establishes best practices and policies and overseeing their implementation.
- Reviews all forms of contractual agreements.

**Financial planning and analysis**
- Sets budgets, forecasts, and monitors variances for all departments, making adjustment or approving requests as needed.
- Works closely with the executive team and advises on business decisions from a financial and strategic perspective.
- Provides financial leadership in cash, risk, debt, and capital management.
- Financial modelling, cost analysis, and profitability analysis.

**Alignment and Growth**
- Establishes internal control processes required to manage and grow the business.
- Assists in market entry expansion (with focus on scrubs).
- Supports the organization in area of deal analysis, potential future investments, and growth.

**Others**
- Manages all aspects of IT including strategy, architecture, operations, security, and support.
- Establish continuous improvement directives focused on using IT as a competitive advantage.
- Leads system integration implementations and identify methods to improve overall organizational efficiencies.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- 10+ years in progressive financial leadership roles in apparel and/or consumer products organizations.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, CPA designation.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization.
- Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
- Solid experience with cloud-based ERP systems.
