Job Summary:
We are currently seeking an experienced Operator to join our team. The Operator will be experienced in steep slope logging operations and has a good knowledge of coastal species. This is a full-time position with opportunities for career growth.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Safely operate grapple yarder as required to meet daily plan and production targets
- Conduct pre-trip/walk-around safety inspections
- Maintain equipment in good operating condition, reporting, and logging maintenance requirements or concerns
- Complete production reporting and other documentation as required
- Communicate effectively and professionally with other team members
- Operate other heavy equipment, if required
- Follow all site, company and client specific safety protocols, policies, and procedures

**Position Requirements**:

- Maintain 3-point contact on and off machine
- Ability to use multiple functions while operating equipment
- Monitor equipment performance while operating
- Situational awareness at all times
- Manoeuvre safely over a variety of terrain
- Competently identify danger trees and determine safe methods of yarding the wood to the roadside
- Can identify the most efficient and effective strategy for yarding the wood to the roadside
- Physically able to get up and down machine
- Able to perform simple maintenance and change attachments
- Hazard awareness knowledge and understanding

**Qualifications/Experience**:

- Valid Class 5 Driver's License
- Minimum 5 years of grapple yarder experience and good knowledge of coastal species
- Level 1 F/A
- Experience in steep slope logging operations

Pay: From $40.78 per hour
