As shipping clerk, you will be primarily responsible to create all shipping and customs paperwork and assist in the shipment of products.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Shipping Documentation (70%):

- Create and ensure accuracy of all shipping paperwork and customs documentation
- Contact freight forwarders and arrange shipment pickup times
- Work with shipping department to ensure accuracy in items being shipped
- Release paperwork and coordinate truck drivers when they arrive for pickup
- If required by customers, track shipments to confirm that they have arrived at desired location
- Practice customer service when interacting with other companies and clients to ensure all parties receive a positive interaction with the company

External Vendor Inventory (30%):

- Create all external vendor purchase orders and/or shipping documentation
- Transfer inventory to vendor and receive from vendor.
- Monitor and report on inventory levels at external vendors and ensure accuracy of this data in SAP system

**QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS/KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE**
- Minimum one (1) year experience in a manufacturing automotive industry with automotive/manufacturing experience Experience working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Ability to maintain a high level of physicality for prolonged periods and working primarily standing
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite (primarily Excel and Outlook). Knowledge of SAP would be an asset.
- Interpersonal skills are essential, as working as a team is vital to maintaining an organized warehouse
- Experience using a forklift and professional forklift certification is strongly preferred
- Ability to problem solve quickly and prioritize daily tasks according to their importance
- Personal accountability and integrity are paramount, as a shipping clerk is tasked with an accurate accounting of all inventory
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times when entering and working in plant area.
- Plant area can be noisy and can feel oil mist when in operation.
