The employee(s) will also aid with the maintenance and upkeep of public areas, construction and installation of Park works in accordance with relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices.

**Knowledge, skills and abilities**:

- Completion of grade 12 supplemented by a minimum of two years’ experience in a similar work environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
- a valid Class 5 Drivers Licence with no restrictions;
- general knowledge of carpentry practices and use of power tools;
- ability to readily recognize, rectify and/or report upon actual or potential safety hazards;
- appropriate communication skills including the ability to express thoughts and ideas clearly, converse with a wide range of people and demonstrate an aptitude to interact with contractors, staff and the general public with courtesy, diplomacy and tact;
- ability to work independently with mínimal supervision and balance overlapping priorities;
- ability to complete WHMIS training; and
- a satisfactory police information check.

This is a Union position under the Collective Agreement between Cultus Lake Park and CUPE Local 458. The incumbent will normally work 37.5 hours per week with a 7.5-hour day scheduled between 6:00 am and 8:00 pm. Shifts may include weekends and statutory holidays and overtime may be required from time to time. Performance of duties requires travel and working outside in all kinds of climactic conditions. The incumbent is required to follow all safety practices and procedures in the performance of duties.

The wage rate for this position is $28.71 per hour plus 10.6% in lieu of benefits. The term commences on between May 27th and June 10th, 2024, for a 4-month term. If you are interested in applying, please submit your resume, along with a cover letter, outlining how you meet the qualifications.
