**Position Overview**

Reporting to the TL of Planning and working two (2) weeks on, followed by two (2) weeks off at the Ekati Mine, the Fixed Asset Planner is responsible for the safe, efficient, and productive operation of Fixed plant short term and long-range planning.

**Job Duties/Responsibilities**
- Promote and demonstrate safe work practices;
- Planning and scheduling the work for and assisting with directing small teams of trades people in servicing and rebuilding fixed asset and components such as screen decks, conveyors, and gearboxes, etc.
- Create and manage the long-range planning for the fixed assets;
- Support department KPIs, project budgets and work towards achieving them and explain variances;
- Communicate and ensure adherence to new, modified or existing procedures and assist in the development and creation of new procedures and work instructions;
- Manage manpower and training requirements;
- Develop and deliver cross-shift communication notes;
- Communicate requirements for master data changes and master material requests;
- Ensure sign off on stock returns (forms) are completed;
- Ensure compliance to regulatory authorities;
- Manage all day to day SAP activities, History input;
- Participate in weekly stakeholder scheduling meetings;
- Manage the ordering of direct charge items for rebuilds and urgent and/or immediate work;
- Participate in the creation of OPEX/CAPEX budgets, participates in quarterly re-forecasts;
- Initiate and foster equipment and process improvement ideas;
- Initiate cost saving measures;

**Education/Experience**
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Journeyperson, Red Seal Certified (or equivalent experience)
- 10 years industry experience.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience supervising multiple trades.
- Experience with SAP considered an asset.

**Additional Information**

Arctic provides travel to and from the Ekati mine site out of Calgary, Yellowknife, and other northern fly points.
