**The Opportunity**:
The City of Red Deer is currently recruiting for a **Property Assessment Technician** to fill a permanent full-time position. The Property Assessment Technician will provide support and assistance to the Assessment section in the completion of recurring valuation cycle tasks. Understanding and experience with system integrations and ability to collect multi-source data for the purposes of assessment valuation.
- High School Diploma plus a two-year, post-secondary diploma in Office / Business Administration or Property Appraisal / Assessment from a recognize college or technical institute, or equivalent.
- Two or more years of experience. Experience in assessment / appraisal field would be an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and demonstrate sound judgement.
- Demonstrated strong communication skills both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in conflict situations, positive attitude, willingness to work constructively in team environment.
- Demonstrated initiative and self-motivation at the professional level, including continual learning.
- Demonstrated self-directed experience with the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to time manage and work efficiently.
- Provide a personal vehicle for business use.

**Remuneration**:
$33.53 to $35.29 per hour

**Hours of Work**:
75 hours biweekly; Monday to Friday; some evening and weekend work may be required.
