Technical Lead, Security Technology Career Opportunity

**As the Technical Lead, Security Technology you will**:
Work on incidents and troubleshooting to find workarounds to get business back up and running quickly while ensuring the safeguarding of organizational assets.

Reinforce the team during business hours and after hours for security incidents.

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Security Technology department focusing on security technologies, processes, and procedures based on the ITIL framework and best practices.

Identify vulnerabilities and mitigate these with the tools and reports provided by the company.

Approve security changes as functional change manager.

Confirm Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met (Incident/Problem/Change).

Manage business continuity and disaster recovery management and works with the team to ensure continuous DR readiness is in place for all identified Security Technology services.

**Operational improvements**: identify gaps, suggest improvements, and promote automation opportunities within Security Technologies Assess operational improvements and promote automation opportunities within Security Technologies.

Inspect monitoring and alerting are in place for all security technology services.

Evaluate fiscal planning for Security Technology by providing the necessary research, information, and recommendations.

Monitor events generated by various systems, such as antimalware, firewall and network systems, and equipment.

Design and develop defined procedures for suspicious events and incidents.

Supervise team that performs daily, weekly, and monthly security audits of various systems including antimalware, firewall and anti-spam policies.

Administer the team that documents and report deviations from established baselines to the Information Security Team.

Educate cybersecurity awareness and best practices within the organization.

Mentor team and provide briefs to VP IOS on cybersecurity news, trends, and best practices.

Research security enhancements and make recommendations to the Information Security Team.

Knowledge and understanding of ITIL framework, certification is an asset.

4-7 years of knowledge and experience in the field of security and/or recognized.

5-7 years designing, integrating, and implementing end-to-end infrastructure, network, and security solutions.

5+ years of Information Technology experience with desktop and network technologies.

Certification includes CISM, CISSP, CASP+, CCSP, or other industry
- recognized certificates is considered an asset.

Broad knowledge of industry knowledge specializing in security technologies including but not limited to DDoS, IPS/IDS, Firewalls, WAF, VPN, LAN/WAN/SDWAN

Experience using alerting and monitoring and/or other similar tools.

**Experience with the following**:
Managed, enterprise-grade endpoint protection product or service.

Enterprise-grade vulnerability scanning product or service.

Enterprise-grade spam filter product or service.

Active Directory fundamentals (OU structure, objects, etc.).

Computer networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing and switching, etc.).

Group policy functionality within an organizational domain.

Experience with IDS/IPS is an asset.

Understanding the NIST framework is an asset.

Knowledge of Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) products or services is an asset.

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Excellent problem-solving, communication, presentation, and coaching skills.

Willing and able to be on-call 24/7, as required and willing and able to work a flexible schedule which may include irregular hours.

Passport and ability to travel in North America. Single and multiple days with overnights.

A Criminal Record Check may be required.
