Venue Custodian

The Venue Custodian plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards within the concert venue and bar area. This position is responsible for ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for patrons and staff alike, contributing to a positive overall guest experience.

**Responsibilities**:

- Cleaning and Sanitization: Perform regular cleaning tasks throughout the venue, including but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces.
- Restroom Maintenance: Monitor and maintain restroom facilities to ensure cleanliness and adequate supplies of toiletries such as toilet paper, soap, and paper towels.
- Waste Management: Properly dispose of trash and recyclables, ensuring that waste receptacles are emptied and sanitized regularly.
- Venue Setup and Breakdown: Assist with setting up and breaking down event spaces, including arranging furniture, setting up stages, and removing debris after events.
- Stocking Supplies: Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies need replenishment.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while performing duties, including handling and storage of cleaning chemicals.
- Reporting Maintenance Issues: Report any maintenance or repair issues to the appropriate department for prompt resolution.
- Emergency Response: Be familiar with emergency procedures and protocols, including fire evacuation plans, and assist as needed during emergency situations.
- Customer Service: Provide friendly and courteous service to guests and respond promptly to any guest inquiries or requests related to cleanliness and sanitation.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and efficient operation of the venue.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in janitorial or custodial roles preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and supplies.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the venue's schedule.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy objects.
- Willingness to adhere to health and safety regulations.

The Venue Custodian plays a vital behind-the-scenes role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of the concert venue and bar, contributing to the overall success of events and ensuring a positive experience for guests and staff.

Pay: $17.00-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 45 per week
