Position Information

**Position Title**
- Mover Maintenance Technician**Position Summary**
- This position is responsible for working on a variety of maintenance projects and/or moving furniture & equipment as directed. The incumbent will be expected to work both indoors and outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, operate tools and equipment and contribute to a positive and safe work environment at all times.**Position Responsibilities**
- Moving Furniture and Equipment- Loads, transports and unloads boxes, furniture & equipment including IT equipment
- Disassembles and assembles furniture & equipment including IT equipment
- Consults with internal stakeholders and installs furniture and other items as directed
- Renovation & Special Requests- Responds to special facility related requests from internal departments
- Ensures classroom and facility readiness for Fall intake
- Complete or assists with minor maintenance projects as requested
- Maintains tools and equipment supplied by Campus Management
- Maintain Campus Management Storage Facilities- Organizes excess furniture and equipment in Campus Management storage areas
- Properly disposes of broken and obsolete items

**Required Qualifications**
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong work ethic, attendance and record and productivity in an independent work environment (demonstrated through previous employment or volunteer experience)
- Strong customer service, teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to perform basic laboring activities, including heavy lifting, and exert frequent physical effort
- Experience with power tools
- Safety conscious in a crowded, fast-paced working environment
- Familiarity with IT moves and set up

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Familiarity with RDP facilities on Main Campus, Millennium Centre and Welikoklad Event Centre**Salary or Hourly?**
