Campfire Circle is seeking an Intern, Research & Data Integrity to support the development team this summer. The Intern, Research & Data Integrity will join the Donor Experience team to perform a variety of administrative tasks, data clean up and maintenance, preparation of research profiles, and the qualification and evaluation of new and existing prospective donors. They will support the implementation of new procedures and processes to support data integrity, research, and analytics.

This role reports to the Associate Director, Donor Experience & Analytics.

**Start Date: May 13, 2024**

**End Date: July 5, 2024**

**Rate: $18.00/hour**

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Data Integrity_
- Support the Donor Experience team with data maintenance and record clean up in The Raiser’s Edge (“RE” - our donor CRM/database).
- Efficiently and accurately enter data from various sources into RE.
- Update constituent records by entering data into RE though manual or automated processes.
- Run reports to analyze and ensure data integrity.
- Provide administrative support to the Donor Experience team and complete other duties as assigned.
- Prospect Research_
- Conduct detailed research using subscription-based services and publicly available resources to identify and qualify the philanthropic interests of current and potential supporters and their capacity and interest in supporting Campfire Circle.
- Provide in-depth, accurate, and timely prospect profiles for development team members.
- Mine the database (RE) to help maximize financial support by evaluating previous gift data, relationships, and other available information.
- Proactively source new prospects through media and sector-specific resources, like donor lists and gift announcements.
- Complete special research requests to support donor development and fundraising activities.
- Donor Outreach_
- Opportunity to participate in the execution of signature and community events.
- Assist with the donor acknowledgement process by making thank you calls and helping with donor mailings.

**ABOUT YOU**

In accordance with our mandate of creating a caring and safe environment for ill children and their families, we require that all staff must provide an attestation to having received their childhood vaccinations, and COVID-19 vaccination, and confirmation of a negative result in a two-step Tuberculosis ("TB") testing series. Seasonal boosters against Influenza and the most recent circulating strain of COVID are strongly encouraged. All staff must provide an updated Police Record with Vulnerable Sector Screening. We also require that all staff be currently eligible to work in Canada and for Campfire Circle.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Required Criteria: _

a) An interest in fundraising, research, and the non-profit sector.

b) A demonstrated ability to work effectively, collaboratively, and collegially with a diverse group of staff, supporters, and volunteers.

c) Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong intuitive skills and curiosity.

d) Detail-oriented, with a demonstrated ability to organize work, set priorities, meet deadlines, and work under the pressure of time constraints.

e) Ability to work independently with the flexibility to take on a wide variety of assigned duties and projects.

f) Ability to follow ethical standards, show professional judgement, and use discretion in dealing with sensitive and confidential information.

g) Computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Advantageous Criteria: _

a) Education or experience in fundraising.

b) Experience using Raiser’s Edge or a comparable CRM.
- Particular Working Conditions:_

a) This role will work in a hybrid environment, with 2-3 days per week working in our Toronto office.

b) In consideration of the population Campfire Circle serves, the incumbent is a non-smoker.
