Salary range: The salary range for this position is CAD $37.01 - $53.20 / hour Why Fraser Health?:
We are seeking a highly-motivated, people-centred communications professional with a strong writing background and eye for detail who excels as part of a team but can also get down to business independently. As a **Consultant, Communications,** you will work with communications and public affairs teams to support Fraser Health’s efforts to engage staff, medical staff and volunteers and share up-to-date information, focussing on the specific work of our network of 12 acute care hospitals.
In this role, you will work with senior communication professionals to plan and execute communication strategies, create content for a variety of channels and participate in a variety of projects.
The work is fast-paced, with multiple current high-profile projects.

- Knowledge of the health care system in British Columbia is an asset
- Demonstrated, high-quality content creation across multiple media types (including writing and editing for web, social media and internal channels)
- Excellent writing is a must
- Experience consulting with clients about complex content
- Experience in digital strategy, user experience and content development is useful
- Experience in writing and formatting content for a variety of traditional and digital channels
**Are you motivated to join us? Requirements include**:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing or a related field
- Three (3) to five (5) years' recent, related experience in communications
This is a **Full Time** position based at our **Central City offices in Surrey, BC**, with access to rapid transit, shopping, restaurants, on-site gym and other amenities. This position will also be expected to work at hospital locations across our region.

Provides consultation to Directors, Managers and program leaders in the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of communication strategies that support regional and Fraser Health-wide internal/external programs and initiatives; plans and coordinates communications-related projects, special events, proactive media publicity, advertising and external speakers; evaluates media coverage and writes/produces various internal/external communications materials; ensures overall quality, consistency and effectiveness of complex and/or confidential communication materials.
