Server 1-grr

**Position Summary**
Under the direct supervision of the Manager, Food & Beverage, this position is responsible for serving the guests at a counter, in a restaurant, buffet operation, coffee shop, on a casino floor, in a bar, at a banquet, in a theatre, in in-room dining or other areas. Ensures adherence to all policies and procedures while contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members. Ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian's learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Greets guests by name wherever possible.
- Explains how various menu items or beverages are prepared.
- Serves the guests; checks to ensure satisfaction.
- Prepares food and beverages if applicable.
- Resolves guests issues or asks management for assistance.
- Presents bill upon request; takes payment in the absence of a cashier.
- Cleans tables or counters; removes dishes; re-stocks where applicable.
- Performs opening or closing duties as required.
- Counts cash float at end of shift when applicable.
- Covers other servers' sections when required.
- Exercises good judgment when serving alcoholic beverages.
- Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments.
- Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders: guests, ownership and team members.
- Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned or directed.

**Education and Qualifications**
- High School Diploma
- Minimum 1 year serving experience effective and service oriented communication.
- POS experience
- Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
- Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely,

**Work Environment Considerations**
- Regular casino, restaurant or bar environment, standing and walking for long periods of time, some exposure to noise, odors; lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, stretching, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, stretching, non-traditional work hours
