**Technical Writer**

**Position Description**:
As the Technical Writer you will draft, edit and deliver all documentation and training materials for both internal and external customers. We are looking to build out our team by adding an outstanding communicator, adept at building and delivering powerful content that supports our mission to provide an exceptional customer experience. Our internal customers include Marketing, Sales and Customer Support. A key to your success will be your ability to collaborate with all stakeholders to produce and deliver a full range of product knowledge assets in a variety of media formats.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct discovery sessions, integrating technical and non-technical information from different teams.
- Build end-user documentation for the purposes of installation, setup, configuration and troubleshooting of instrumentation and software.
- Create video help guides, how-to wizards, and other supporting media assets to be used by Marketing, Sales and Customer Support.
- Ensure all documentation is aligned with technical specifications and adheres to the style guides and technical documentation best practices.
- Ensure alignment with RST’s documentation and knowledge asset framework and Identify process improvements related to the training and documentation disciplines.
- Other projects and tasks as assigned by management.

**Qualification and Skills**:

- Minimum of BA/BSc in a technical field and/or technical communications.
- 4+ years of experience in technical writing
- Fluency in English, with French, Spanish, or Portuguese being an asset
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated success in building and delivering content to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Multiple successful documentation rollouts are spanning complex product offerings comprised of both software and hardware.
- Strong self-starter

This role is required to be on site at our Maple Ridge office, and hybrid work options may be considered working a minimum of 1-2 days per week from office combined with working from home.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $62,000.00-$75,000.00 per year

**Education**:

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

**Experience**:

- technical writing: 2 years (preferred)
