**Position: Assistant Early Childhood Educator - Permanent, Full-Time**

**Location**:Current Assignment: Madison Children’s Centre**

4397 Buchanan Street, Burnaby

**Salary**: **$18.00/hour**(ECE Assistant Licence) or

**$21.50/hour** (ECE Licence/includes $4.00 ECE Wage Enhancement)

**Hours of Work**: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

(split shift between two programs within the centre)

**Qualifications**:

- Current ECE Assistant or ECE Licence to practice
- Current First Aid and CPR for Children Certificate
- Required criminal record search

**Requirements**:

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work flexible schedules
- Working knowledge of child growth and development
- Ability to plan programs for children 0 to 5 years
- Ability to work with children with challenging behaviour an asset
- Previous work experience in childcare environment

**Specifications**:

- Six-month probation period for new hires (3 months trial period for
- existing permanent employees)
- This position is open to female and male applicants
