**OPERATIONAL IMPROVEMENT MANAGER**

People are at the heart of what Nature's Fare Markets does and with this lens, you will support and lead our store teams with your extensive retail operations knowledge. Reporting to the Director of Operations you will be responsible for coaching and motivating our store teams in the areas of best practices, SOPs and training as well as ensuring the effective collaboration between operations and purchasing teams. As a part of our senior management team, Operational Improvement Manager must live and model our core values while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. **WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING**:
Overall:

- As an ambassador and a key collaborator between store operations and corporate office, you will be a strong leader in communicating, representing, and upholding Nature's Fare Markets' Core Values, mission and brand pillars
- You will be responsible of auditing processes and procedures to find efficiencies, identify best practices and create standardization across locations. In this process, you will ensure all SOPs are documented and clearly communicated to teams
- You will take the lead on executing change management for any new and updated processes, including coaching and communication, creating training and development plans, as well as creating and conducting measurement to ensure successful roll out of key initiatives
- You will be responsible for leveraging, building and maintaining systems and processes that maintain documents and key information, such as a contracts and equipment repository
- You will take the lead on inventory management to ensure the people, processes and timelines meet the needs of the company and best practices
- Championing continuous improvement mindset, specifically focused on improving the employee and customer experience

Key Areas of Responsibility:

- Process improvement and standardization
- Training and development
- Procurement (buying, receiving)
- Inventory management (stocking/facing, inventory counts, spillage, loss prevention)
- Back-office administration (process audits, special projects)
- Cash efficiency
- Merchandising

**WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR**:

- 5+ years of experience in an operations manager role
- Demonstrated operational execution skills
- Experience managing people in a customer service industry is a strong asset
- Strong technical knowledge using Microsoft Office Suite
- Analytical thinker who loves systems like Power BI and Excel
- Working knowledge of retail operations (SMS) ERP solution software an asset
- Experience managing budgets and financials
- Available for flexible scheduling to meet the needs of the store including mornings, nights, weekends, holidays, and long/unusual hours
- Highly organized, good communicator and ability to motivate team
- Position can be remote, but applicant must live near by one of our seven locations.
