The Quality Technician applies detail and an adherence to process to ensure that product meets or exceeds the product and the customer requirements. This is an individual contributor role reporting to operations leadership.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for all product quality inspection (new product and customer repairs) working closely with internal operations and external outsource entities to ensure requirements are being met.
- Responsible for performing soldering, cable assembly and sub-assembly build inspections.
- Creates and maintains all product quality inspection documentation.
- Performs all enhanced receive inspections required on all incoming product to ensure it is acceptable for production.
- Reviews all AS9102 FAIR documentation as per company process and ensures it is acceptable.
- Responsible for maintenance and enhancement of all templates for internal product build and repair documentation.
- Takes ownership of monitoring tools and test equipment calibration.
- May assist with process mapping of local regional site to corporate site as required.
- Will update existing product, subassembly, and component level BOMs and drawings for updates to support sustainment initiatives as needed.
- May assist in troubleshooting activities.
- May support other functional areas during non-peak periods to ensure team success.

**Qualifications/ Experience Needed**:

- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience
- Must either hold or be able to obtain Government of Canada Security Clearance up to the Secret level and access to controlled goods.
- Position requires a customer service-oriented individual, one who has great communication, analytical and attention to detail skills.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Project, Excel, Word and SAP.
