Landfill Site Attendant

**Position Description**

We currently have an exciting opportunity in our Inter-Lakes landfill location for a Site Attendant. This is a week on week off position with an annual average of 50.5/hrs bi-weekly (averaged annually).

**Position Responsibilities**
- Inspect and screen all loads and direct customers to the appropriate areas
- Educate customers on proper recycling procedures
- Complete commercial tipping fee booklet in full; advise on load charges
- Educate the public on wood waste re-use system and issue permits as required
- Hand out schedules, information bulletins and any educational material as required
- Remove contamination from recyclables
- Act as the first point of contact for all staff, managers, clients, and customers.
- Ensure accurate documentation of all inbound and outbound scale transactions by weighing of all customers vehicles, carriers, and company vehicles on main scale.
- Other duties and projects may be assigned.

**Qualifications**
- Ability to work outside in all elements & weather conditions
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Able to stand and walk for long periods of time in a outside environment
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Flexibility and willingness to work simultaneously on a wide range of tasks and projects.
- Excellent customer service.
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Proven ability to work independently while being a team player.
