Intermediate Geoscientist

**Position Overview**:
**Major Job Functions**:

- Coordinating and performing terrain stability mapping and site investigations
- Preparing geotechnical reports
- Coordinating and/or preparing maps, drawings, and figures
- Use of computer software such as CorelDraw, ArcMap, or QGIS for creation of maps; prior experience an asset
- Completing road construction and deactivation inspections and documentation
- Assisting with construction monitoring

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships across all levels of the business
- Strong technical analysis and technical writing capabilities
- Physically fit and comfortable with outdoor work and occasional travel
- Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to work on numerous projects
- Willingness to learn and work under limited supervision

**Education and Experience**:

- Completed a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Geoscience, Geology, Geological Engineering, or similar field
- At least 5 years of work experience in geoscience related field
- **Registered or eligible to be registered with Engineers and Geoscientists of BC (EGBC)**
