At our manufacturing facility in Kingston, we customize our kitchen designs to the last detail. Our team prides itself on the quality of our cabinetry and the personalized service we provide.

DT Splinter Custom Kitchens is adding to its production team and we are offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced shop worker.

**Responsibilities**:
The successful cadidate will be responsible for crafting and assembling cabinets to detailed specifications. They will produce quality cabinets to specification by reading shop drawings and plans, using hand tools, and woodworking machines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

They will be responsible for knowing and practicing safe working methods and have a strong knowledge of shop practices, procedures, techniques, tools, equipment, quality control, and safety equipment.

They will be responsible for maintaining a clean and tidy work area, assisting on deliveries, and conducting regular maintenance of tools and machinery. Other duties may be assigned, as necessary.

They will either assemble cabinets are finish cabinet parts as needed.

**Requirements**:

- 2+ years of experience working in a cabinetry, manufacturing or carpentry shop
- Knowledge of safe operation of hand and power tools
- Knowledge of work-place safety and safe lifting and handling procedures
- Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner
- Ability to read and interpret design plans
- Ability to work in a team environment with mínimal supervision
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities
- Experience using a CNC is an asset
- Must have excellent hand spraying techniques
- Maintain paint equipment including, sprayers, tips and lines
- Knowledge of the proper storage of materials/chemicals used
- Attention to detail, quality and accuracy
- Must have good hand/eye coordination along with being able to work on repetitive tasks on a daily basis
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate and assist co-workers, designers, and supervisors effectively
- Valid Driver’s License

**Working Conditions**:

- Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs
- Manual dexterity required to use power and hand tools
- Frequently noisy working environment
- Overtime as required
- Use of safety glasses and steel toe boots required

Pay commensurate with experience. Benefits package available following three-month probationary period.

**Salary**: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
