Norwegian Language Instructor

**Teach the Norwegian language to highly motivated and committed adult professionals**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide onsite or hybrid (onsite & online) language learner-centered training to adult professionals.
- Teach speaking, listening, comprehension, reading, and writing skills, as well as geopolitical, economic, cultural, and social issues, in an immersion-based environment.

*Please note that whether onsite (in-person), or hybrid (combination of onsite and online) mode, all training is synchronous (real-time), EDT Canada.

**Minimum Competencies and Requirements**:

- **Have a Bachelor’s degree** from a recognized university;
- **Be a native speaker** of the language to be taught;
- **Be proficient** at the ILR level 4 in the language to be taught, as attested by a recognized language proficiency testing institution (such as ACTFL, if required);
- **Have experience** in teaching a foreign language to adult learners;
- **Have knowledge** of the culture of the specified country;
- **Be proficient** at the ILR level 2 in either or both of Canada’s Official Languages, as attested by a recognized language proficiency testing institution (such as ACTFL, if required);
- **Be a resident of Canada** or possess a valid work permit;
- **Agree** to the Code of Ethics for Language Teachers.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Temporary, Contract
Contract length: 3 - 12 months

**Salary**: $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
