**Position Title: Neurodiversity Worker**

**Department**: Family Development and Food Security

**Hours**: 35 hours per week

**Hourly wage**: $24.32 to $27.21 per hour

Working as part of the VNFC Aboriginal Supported Childhood and Neurodiversity (ASCDN) Team and reporting directly to the ASCDN Team Manager, the Neurodiversity Worker works with children and families utilizing a family centered and strengths-based approach.

The Neurodiversity Worker is responsible for mentoring and supporting families to facilitate an increase in their knowledge, skills and confidence while striving to empower the family to become their own best advocate for their child.

This position will assist families to select and access appropriate services by providing information on the range of available programs and supports, health and education services. Families will also be supported through the assessment/diagnostic process.

Our team includes people of all Indigenous identities; some who are close to their communities and others who are on a path to learn more about their heritage. In recognition of the importance of a lived understanding of Indigenous communities, history, values and culture, preference is given to Indigenous applicants. **Salary**: $24.32-$27.21 per hour
